Min. Deb McMichael

Inspirational Scripture: 

Psalm 51:12-13 “Restore to me my joy of your salvation, and uphold me by your generious spirit.  Then I will teach transgressors your ways, and sinners shall be converted to you.”


Min. Deb ,as she is called, was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  Where she attended the Philadelphia School System.  Graduating with a diploma in business from Roxborough High School.  She also went to the Philadelphia Community College and received a certificate in business management, she then attended The McCarrie School of Technology and there she received a diploma in medical assistance.  She worked in the health field for some 35 years.  She is also on her way in a certificate program at LBC  in Counseling, and has plans to continue her education in bible and world religions.  She currently teaches new members class, and is also part of the BSBC Health Ministry in addition to that she is on the Prison Ministry team.

Deb was baptized at an early age, however she believes it was God who took her from the streets of Philadelphia in 1996 and set her feet in Lancaster, Pa. to save her life from substance abuse.  It was here where she believes she was truly born again.  A member of Canaan Baptist in Philadelphia.  And the Met at Broad & Poplar Sts.  It was here in Lancaster under the mentorship of Rev. Martha Rochelle and the Pastorate of Louis A. Butcher Jr. at The Bright Side Baptist Church.  When she received the call to ministry.  She says her ministry is to mentor women struggling with living life on life’s term.  However her passion is for seniors.  Min. Deb has 2 sons Timothy and Damion, one daughter-in-law Tammy married to Tim, and 2 granddaughters, Damion is with Tonisha and 5 grandchildren.  Her mother and 2 brothers still live in Philadelphia as well as the rest of family.
