Min. Carrie Gardner

Biography –

Min. Carrie Gardner was raised in a Christian home in a small town in South Carolina, and was a member of the United Methodist church.

She served on the choir, usher board, and worked on many activities within the church. After graduating from high school, she attended Claflin College in Orangeburg, S.C.

During the summer, she stayed in Brooklyn, NY with her father and worked to help with her college education.

There she met her husband, Walter Gardner, stayed there for awhile before moving to Lancaster, PA where she joined the AME church. While at the AME church she taught Sunday School, and worked with the community children teaching them to read.

When she was called into the ministry, she joined the Baptist church (Bright Side) under the supervision of Pastor Louis A. Butcher, Jr. where she became a minister.

She attended the Lancaster Theological Seminary, and the Lancaster Bible College where she graduated from the evening institute of Lancaster Bible College.
